Town of Sylvester – FEE SCHEDULE
Purpose
The purpose of this Fee Schedule is to provide efficiency, economy, and uniformity in establishing and adjusting the fees charged by the Town of Sylvester. The fees enumerated throughout the Town of Sylvester Code of Ordinances are abbreviated into this one schedule.
Abbreviated Fee Schedule
The fees set forth in the Fee Schedule have been adopted by the Town Board for the Town of Sylvester.
Review and Amendments
The fees set forth in this Fee Schedule may be added to or amended from time to time by adoption of an Ordinance by the Town Board. In addition, the Town Board may review the Fee Schedule on at least an annual basis for the purpose of adjusting and updating the fees charged by the Town. Any amendments or additions thereto may be made by Resolution of the Town Board.
Fee Schedule
Driveway Permit – $500 ($450 of which is a deposit that will be returned upon completion of the construction project if the driveway and project are in compliance with the Town of Sylvester regulations and no damage has been done to the adjoining roadway.)

Snow Removal – This is based on the county rates for the year. Applies to snow removed from roadway that was placed in roadway by town resident(s). Township employees do not provide snow removal services on property owned by town residents.
Work Done for Residents Any work done by township employees for township residents will be billed at $100 per hour. This fee covers the employee’s time and township equipment used to perform the work. For liability and insurance purposes, no town employee shall perform work or allow township equipment to be used for town residents beyond the road right-of-way.
Land Division Review:
Engineering Fees – The land divider shall pay a fee equal to the actual cost to the Town for all engineering and technical assistance work incurred by the Town in connection with the preliminary plat, final plat or certified survey map, including inspections required by the Town. The land divider shall pay a fee equal to the actual cost to the Town for such inspection as the Town Board deems necessary to assure that the construction of the required improvements is in compliance with the plans, specifications and ordinances of the Town and any other governmental agency.
Legal Fees – The land divider shall pay a fee equal to the actual cost to the Town for all legal fees and costs incurred by the Town in connection with the preliminary plat, final plat or certified survey map, including conferences, review and preparation of documents, and consultations with the land divider or the Town.
Administrative Fees –The land divider shall pay a fee equal to the cost of any administrative or fiscal work, publication and special meeting costs which may be incurred or undertaken by the Town in connection with the preliminary plat, final plat or certified survey map. This includes meeting per diems paid to the Comprehensive Planning Committee members; clerk/treasurer; and when special meetings of the town board are called, meeting per diems paid to Town Board members.
Preliminary Plat and Certified Survey Review and Final Plat Review Fees
The land divider shall pay fees for Town review of preliminary plats, final plats, replats, special meetings and certified survey maps which include but are not limited to per diems of the committee members ($25 per plan commission member, $50 per town board member, and $20 for clerk/treasurer), mileage if applicable (to be paid at the current federal rate) a fee equal to any publication/notice costs, and administrative costs associated with the reviews.
Cemetery Lot Deed Reconveyance Fee $ 25
No cemetery lot deed reconveyance may be received for filing by the town clerk until a reconveyance fee has been paid.
